I use strictly acrylics (water soluable until dried/cured) on my plugs.

It's important to purchase paints intended for use in the airbrush, meaning paints that are of proper pigment content while being thinned so that they flow well.

- The vast majority of (hobby) builders that I am aware of use Createx acrylics. If you lkike the more bold effects, stay with opaques, pearlized, and irridescent paints. The transluscent or transparent paints are great for subtle blending and over-layed paint jobs.

If you don't have a local dealer for createx paints, there are many on-line sites that can get them to you for about the same price as the stores (including shipping) - Check out dixieart.com - they have the most comprehensive selection.

Actually - That's just a straight turned plug - Picture a needlefish with an oversized popper head - now cut the popper head off at a 45 deg angle just flush with the needle portion of the body - And there you have a lip.

I don't like the action enough though - a new and improved version is in the werkz

Here's a better pic....

Would it give more action to hollow the lip out a bit?
I really like the look of this plug. don't give up on it.
