By the way there is no magic in anything. However with that said a question was asked about signage and Boldwater is one of the best if not the best in the marine industry and they are graphic designers who specilaize in marine applications only. You would be hard pressed to find anyone who could make fish, sharks or edgy designs like they do ...if that is something you like, becuase they only do tournaments and boats. The money is irrelevant whethere you spend $100 and your happy or I spend $600 and Im happy At the end of the day its about meeting your expectations. There are million places to buy from locally as well. The $600 that I spent was on shirt deisgns, simple boat lettering may be less

Relax G, no one was snapping at you or your source, Mine was simply a suggestion also. I'm just a bit crusty in the way that I express myself in type. Peace bro - we're all about the same passion here! Sorry if I came-across wrong.

No worries at all, no offense taken either. To be honest anyway, what do I know? I dont even own a boat LOL ...I just fish hard, but I do know quality work. Emails are hard to read as they dont show whether anyones being a wise ash or serious. Were perfectly cool

| for my personal applications i,too opt for local talent. i like to meet in person & collaberate with the graphic artists doing my signage & logo work. being a small pop & pop business myself i patronize locally 'cause i am patronized by locals. in the end you gotta do what you're comfy with....just a humble opinion. p.s......still seek out the best talent you can in all things. gman....love the avatar, you & your son? cheers! mick | ||

| Mick, Yes, that is my son and I in Puerto Vallarta in 2006, the day when sea monsters appeared. We had alot of shots at some 200+ yellowfin that day, we got our fair share and Anthony jigged up that one in his hands, we ended up with several in the 180# class a 130 and some 50's along with a huge cubera snapper. That was day one, day two my son caught a 50# Mahi, along with another 10 Bulls and a sailfish One of my worste fishing memories was the one I lost one at the boat that was estimated close to 300#. We finally got color after 40 minutes and when we did it looked like a silver barn door, the crew starts screaming at each other in spanish and they start running for gaffs and the captain tells you to take it easy on the drag and then they said 10 feet more so I tried short pump him the rest and POP!!! there she went, i pulled the hook and watched in misery as she slowly drifted away I'll going back to PV to get her, I promise | ||

| Very interesting thread from my perspective as I own a vinyl lettering and signage company. I've got to second the "keep it local" perspective, even though I do some delivery via snail mail. I think the benefits of doing business with people you know and can meet with are so strong that I fitted out a horse trailer to be a mobile sign shop. I keep my supplies and vinyl cutter in there and go to where the work (and customer) is located. Much easier for them. Especially in a marina environment for example where I can do design, production, and installation on site. Beats the brick-and-mortar sign shop model by a ton. Now, it's true that with digital printing you can create some amazing works of art for a boat or vehicle. And we do. But the majority of boat lettering is still cut vinyl. We're getting more and more requests for full and partial wraps though, which is an entirely different (and very cool) look. | ||
