Good On Yah Mate!

HI:
From one newbie to another....WELCOME ABOARD. I've been told about this site and I'm glad I got one too.
If u do decide to get out for BlueFin Tuna and TFT,,, try this:
Put out a few 4 inch CEDAR plugs behind the transome ,about 20-30 feet behind your transome. CLIP your mainline AS LOW DOWN to the WATER as u can. These rigs(including the 6INCH SIZE) will RUN BETTER than if you run it off the rodtip or o/rigger. Make sure you run them off the corners.
Next put out at least two(2) HEX HEADS BEHIND the CEDARS. HINT...HINT...HINT... Keep these in the MIDDLE of the next WAKE WAVE. WHY? Thats where Tune expect to see a flashing darting foodfish trying to catch up the CEDARS. The HEX HEADS will ATTRACT more fish UP and INTO YOUR SPREAD with their action that will add lots more fish hooking up on the CEDARS and the HEX HEADS.
Colors up in your area that worked for me for lots of years were in order:
BFT= NATURAL , RED/WHITE , ZUCCHINNI , LEMON LINE , PURPLE ( Early A.m. and Eve).
YellowFin Tuna= MAHI , ZUCCHINNI , BLUE/CHARTRUSE , GREEN.
All of the above lures will target fish in the 20 pound and up to 50 pound sizes. If you ALSO add the 6 INCH CEDARS to your spread , you'll also get the outsized Tuna that run UNDER the medium sized TUNA that will strike the smaller CEDARS and HEX HEADS.
You've heard about BIRDS in your spread. RIGHT. A 7-9 inch BIRD back in the 3rd to 5th wake wave will bring even more fish UP INTO your SPREAD. Tha action these birds give you is super. Not only doe they attract fish via SOUND, they ADD WHITE WATER to your spread tha keeps those TUNA flashing and slashing HRU your spread. REMEMBER, Tuna COME up and THEU your spread from the SIDES , rarely from behind, so keep those birds OUTSIDE your propwash and AS CLOSE toi your CHINE WAKE as possible.
Lots more lures and tricks to get those Tuna UP and Hitting your lures....'GM' type lures, Spreader bars, Feathers...etc.
Sorry to have taken up so much of your time. If your interested check out my site for more TIPS and TRICKS.
