NEW MEMBER INTRODUCTION

HELLO EVERYONE. NEW HERE AND NEW TO BLUE WATER FISHING. RETIRED AND SOLD MY BAY BOAT TO PURCHASE A HARLEY DUCE. MY WIFE ADVISED ME STRONGLY THIS WAS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT SHE TOLD ME TO BUY A BIGGER BOAT, SO I DID. I PURCHASED A CARVER SANTA CURZ 1981 2800 MODEL WITH TWIN MERCURSE 228 HP . PICKED IT UP IN NORFOLK VA. AT TAYLORS LANDING. HAVE DONE THE REQUIRED CERMONIES TO CHANGE HER NAME FROM "FIVE OH" TO HER NEW NAME," 2nd CHOICE" WHICH IS A RESULT OF HER BEING JUST THAT. HOWEVER I THINK IT'S WORKED OUT FOR THE BEST. SHE NEEDS A LITTLE TLC AND SOME UP-DATING WHICH WITH YA'LL'S HELP I SHOULD BE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THAT. MY WIFE SAID SHE MIGHT EVEN GO FISHIN WITH NOW. SEEMS TO BE A SOLID VESSEL AND SOME COSMEDIC REPAIRS IS ALL THAT'S NEEDED. STILL WAITING FOR A REPLY FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER WHO IS STILL AT TAYLORS LANDING . I SPOKE TO HIM BUT I FORGOT HIS NAME WITH ALL THE GOING'S ON. THE OTHER TWO OWNERS ALSO ARE THERE SO THE BOATS HISTORY IS TRACKABLE. WHICH I'M DOING. MY KNOWLEDGE OF SALTWATER FISHING IS ZERO. I PLAN ON DOING A LOT OF READING HERE AND ASKING QUESTIONS. THE GULF OF MEXICO IS WHERE I PLAN ON DOING MOST OF MY FISHIN. THIS IS NEW TO ME SO I'D BETTER STOP NOW DON'T KNOW HOW LONG YOUR ALLOWED TO WRITE OR BIG. IT'LL WILL TAKE ME A WHILE TO AJUST TO THE FORMAT , HELLO AGAIN AND THANKS FOR HAVIN' ME "DOUG"

Welcome aboard Doug, enjoy. Oh yeah, the caps make reading it hard (and like you're yelling)...

Welcome aboard Doug. There are lots of guys on this board with loads of time draggin' lines and drifting dead bait in the deep. Ask all the questions you like, we'll glady share what we know.

thanks to everyone for the welcomes. As you see I'm trying to use the lower case, trust me I wasn't yellin' ,it is just easier for me to see. But I'm willin to do it your way. But the up and down for the cases isn't easy for me. In fact typing isn't easy for me. yes I do believe the ya'll's is a regional thing along with a lot more. as for pictures have to do that when my daughter-in-law is home, she has this set up so all I do is push a button and this site comes up. It will take me a while to learn the format and get around in here but bear with me and set my course straight if I wander over into dangerous waters. Talk at ya later. Have to go back through now and put big letters in where i missed puttin' caps.
