| I am stripah (Marc) and I joined this site yesterday at the recommendation of STEW from The Hook Up. I am 23 and hold my 3/M Unlimited/500 ton Master/Mate of Towing Endorsement and make my livelyhood on the water. I have been fishing since I was 2. I am above no fish I love everything from Scup to Marlin and catching Tog in BBay is one of my favorite ways to fish. I have had boats from 11 ft skiffs to my current boat a Ros 24. In a season I will start fishing in April for cod and fish all summer right through the fall and finish will stripers and tog usually around the week of Thanksgiving. The largest striper I have ever caught was last season as a rod aboard a commercial striper boat and it went 45 lbs. The largest fish was an estimated 800+ pound Blue Marlin caught at West Atlantis in 2005. Over 2 hr fight all on stand up on an 80 International in 4 fters. My goals for this season are to trailer my boat to take advantage of the School Bluefin Tuna fishery we have in the Bay and out East. I do alot of solo fishing and enjoy the challenge but always welcome those who are truly interested. I joined this site because I get sick of some of the attitudes and elite behavior of those on other sites as well as whenever someone posts a fish with some blood on it and some guy comes on and says how unethical to show all the gore...blah blah. So lets keep this place "real" and hopefully we can share some serious info and tips. With the prices of fuel sharing info and knowledge should be an accepted behavior. I know alot of guys make a living at this but fishing is supposed to be fun so lets keep it that way and help each other out in the pursuit of FUN. | Hi guys, My son and I fish on a 30' Rabco CC. Stripers till the tuna show up and then we are east or on the bank. Haven't spent much time on the site but as the action heats up I'll be on more. My son will post up some pictures when he gets the chance. See you on the water | ||
