Hey there, Another late night lurker. I used to tog quite a bit from shore when i was a kid. I now have a boat and i can not seem to find any time to try for them.
A few years ago my buddy and i went to bermuda with the wives for a vacation. Little did they know it just so happened to be prime marlin season. So we chartered a boat for a day with high hopes. Lady luck shined on me and before i knew what happened i was strap in a chair and connected to what felt like a frieght train. After an hour of tail walking, jumps and dives the beast was brought along side of the boat.
At 11 ' long and estimated 450 lbs my life life was changed forever. Last year a finally was able to buy my dream boat a 31 stamas express so i could get offshore to get a shot at wiring a marlin in my own boat. Our first trip offshore was a sharking trip. We had caught a bunch of blue dogs when a white marlin showed up in the slick chasing down our live pogies. Well we missed out on that fish and now i can not wait to get out this year. I will be posting results and reading all i can to help make this year a great one. This is a great sight and great of you to offer a trip to some body that will really appreciate it. By the way the marlin in my profile is the one i had the pleasure to release.
