Headed out with my buddy Lou on his 31 foot Shamrock from Shark River Inlet at about 7:00 AM. We hit the ocean and headed north towards Long Branch. Got to the area we wanted to start fluking and put the lines in. My first fish was a nice 18 1/2 incher, we had a steady pick of nice keepers all day and ended up with about 17 for the day. The big fish of the day was a little over 24 inches and weighed about 6 LBS. We had about 5 fish over 20 inches. From the reports on the radio, I think we ended up very well for the day. Looking forward to doing the offshore thang soon with Jim from Arctek, Roy and Eric. With this 100 degree weather, it should not be long!!!
