I will be in Ocean City next week and am bringing my yak. I hope to get out on the bay a few times. Can anyone give me any pointers on what I can catch in the bay and what tackle I should bring with me? Thanks Art

Ragtop Man I'm heading to OC myself for 2 weeks 7/09-7/22. Staying on 33rd St. you can count on croakers and flounder in the bays down there this time of year with some sea trout at night around the Rte 50 Bridge. The amount of boat traffic seems to drive the Stripers (Rockfish) away this time of year but early mornings can be productive in the Inlet area. Do a google on Sue Foster Fishing report and you may pick up some info. I took my boat down last year but I'm hooking up with some pals this year. Good party boat for Sea Bass is the Morning Star out of West Ocean city. A little more pricey but you get a assigned spot on the rail. My favorite party spot is Seacrets bar and club around 40th St. Bar beaches on the bay. Good luck and wear sunglasses when cruising the boardwalk with your lady so she cannot see you stare. | ||
