RDT Report -Rough Day At Point Lookout

We couldn't stand it any longer and decided hope the afternoon lay down that was forecast would come early; knowing full well it was going to be a rough day. We launched outa Point Look out at 9am and were greeted by stiff winds blowing 20 or better and solid three to four foot seas. Capt Jerry took the Honu down to the 66 where we put lines in and worked south to the 64 without a pull and not seeing much bait. Turning up the bay and taking the now solid four footers on the chin to the 70. There were heavy concentrations of bait between the 68 and 70, where we worked the rest of the day. Good fish marks along the bottom and at 20 feet. We ended the day without a pull. Talked to three other boats pulling out and they had the same luck ... a few days late to the game! We talked to one boat on the radio that put a 38 incher on ice at 6am. We'll be back out in a few days.

Those are the days that you question your sanity on the way back in and swear not to do it again, But next day you do it all over again

Good Try Capt.
