NBS Striper Report -Sandy Hook & Coney Island

Heard the weather was going to be nice before the cold front so we decided to bass fish. Started out drifting eels at the point fo the hook , but only caught shorts. Last hour fo the outgoing we ran over to Coney Island and fished the burrow pits. Much nicer fish up to 24 lbs. The fishing slowed at slack water so we trolled down Ambrose channel and picked another three slot fish. Continued to troll over to, in between the channels off the Top of the East. Around 1:30 the bass came up and started rooling on the surface, with birds all over the place. And as luck woul have it we where all by ourselves. Caught our limit and left them alone. The end to a perfect day. The total catch was six fish, 24 - 22- 18 lbs and the rest were 30 "fish.

Our limit are two fish over 28". And a third fish 28" or greater, with a Bonus Fish Card.
Basicly did away with the In-between measurement(slot fish).
