Wachapreague April 1

Fished Wachapreague with a couple of friends for flounder Sunday. The water was clear, water temp was 52 in the morning and got up to 56 in the afternoon. Caught about 20 with only one keeper, fish in all depths. Caught a couple in 2' and a few in 26' and all depths in between. No bait was real hot for us, some boats had 5 or 6 keepers. I guess we got our butts whipped. My friends stayed down and caught them good up in the shallows 2'-4' on Monday, water temp came up good on the flats. I can't fish this weekend, I hope to get on them hard the following week.

Red, Thanks for the report. Headed down to Wachawhatever on the 14-15th. One of the guys going is from Walkersville. Hope we can find a few more keepers, but the new regs are tough. Jack
