7/4 - Relentless "super duper" marathon

Somehow I managed a trip on the relentless for the 4th and joined Fishcounterbob on a shared charter with Jeff, Mike, Ken and Ernie. Curt at the helm with Jerry as mate, we met for a 5:30 am departure from green harbor. Got to the tuna grounds for 7:00 am troll. Saw whales and tuna, hooked a bluefish, but no tuna love for us. Started groundfishing around 8:45, made a wuick move and then pulled our arms out on pollack for about 3-4 hours. Made a move to haddockville and ended the day picking away at them. Had about 160+ pounds of fillets which included mostly pollack and haddock, and then some cod, and redfish. Headed back to port around 3:45 and didn't get in until about 6:30. High winds coming in, but it was flat seas most of the day.

As always, captain and crew provided us the service that we appreciate and good laughs all around. Curt coined this trip his super duper fourth of july marathon, and it was a great day OTW. Curt is posting pics.

Happy belated 4th to everyone - good luck fishing.

Woody

Maybe I Should Try That Boat

Woody,

Maybe I should try that boat, my fluke and sea bass trip in Cape May was blown out with 10 knots predicted and it was blowing a solid 25 in the AM. Spent the day watching the parade, boats, and fireworks off the beach. Glad to hear you did well and we have openings on Relentless for Friday the 10th for a shared charter for more tuna and groundfishing with Capt Curt. If iinterested, please let us know.

Thanks,

Dave
