Left GH at 7:30 AM. Headed to the South Bank in FAC conditions. Arrived to find the Cod stacked up but lots of shorties. Catch ratio was 50:1. Fished this area for a couple hours and managed to pull a few "keeps" out. Headed up the bank making drops along the way. We picked a keeper here & there with some Haddock mixed in. Around 3:30 decided that this was our last drift. We were on the NW edge of the bank. Started banging Haddock non stop. Fished them from 3:30 till 4:45 with non stop action. With everyone's arms tired we decided to head for home with a kind ESE wind facing us on the ride in. Al-N-All a great fishing day, and great day on the water!! Hate to say it guys.........we caught DOGS!!!!! A couple out on the bank.

| I think we saw you out there. Paul (Orion23), and myself (Cruise Control) were on Dave B's 23' Trophy. We left the Gloucester ramp at 5:30 and headed to the N.E. end of the bank there was bait every where. We stopped around the fleet in 115 feet of water. We had non stop action until about 10:00 but most were shorts 21" to 23". We ended up with 6 Cod and 5 Haddock that were keepers. The whales were all around us early then left late in the morning. We fished until 1:00 then headed in as we have a 2 hour ride home to Ct. and Ma. through the 128 traffic. It was a great day there was no wind and the water was FAC with little or no drift. This was a great trip for the first of the year. Now I have to get back to finishing Cruise Control and ready to be launched May 2. This year I had to replace my windlass which is mounted but the wireing needs to be hooked up and I am updating my 20 year old fish finder with a new raymarine DS600X. The new thru hull transducer is stalled but I need to run the cable to the bridge. I still need to paint the bottom and replace the zincs. Hopefully we will be able to find some 19.5" fluke on May 15 when the season opens. This will be a tough fluke season with 19.9" in CT., 20" in RI and 20.5" in NY. | ||

| I did see a Trophy out there. It was a great day. The action really picked up when the wind shifted in the late afternoon. We had a 2 hr commute too. 128 sucks!!! Glad you guys caught some fish. Everything we caught was packed with sand eels. Slug go teasers worked well.

| Armand, I missed your calling, sorry about that. Never heard you. Although the majority of my reception was that woman tracking the whales.......
