What have you got to say about the topic of: "Has anyone ever heard this story B4 ?". Here's how is started: "My father told me a couple of years back a human skull was found inside "

My father told me a couple of years back a human skull was found inside a monster cod. He claims he read it somewhere. I couple of my fishing buddies claim they had heard that story as well. Has anyone ever heard this story before ? (If so is it true)

| Yup, I heard it and it turned out to be true. If I remember correctly, it happened in Australia.

I remember! It was "Never-Never Land"!!! It couldn't have been Australia, the codfish there have VERY STRONG stomach acid and a human skull wouldn't stand a chance...........JC (PS. I did hear of this I'm just not sure it was true or when/where it supposedly occurred. Perhaps Captain Dave Waldrip is probably best informed in "cod-lore")..... | |||

| Thanks for the info Captain Dave & Captain Jason. I am going to do some more research and I'll keep you posted. Bob & Mag- Do you think the blackfish are still on S/W reef ? I am thinking about firing up the Whaler this weekend.

| http://www.goofball.com/news/20001002_bizarre Published 10/2/2000 BRISBANE, Australia - Workers at an Australian fish wholesaler got a heads up when they were preparing a giant cod for sale and found a human head inside. According to police, the 97-pound flowery cod was caught by a fishing trawler off Townsville at the weekend and had been delivered to the seafood wholesaler before sale to the public. Forensic tests were being carried out on the head as police attempted to identify the remains. Local media suggested the head could have belonged to a trawler fisherman missing after falling overboard about 31 miles off Townsville early Sunday.
