New kind of trip.I was excited about the afternoon and evening cod experiment.
Drove up for 8 am departure to meet fellow nbsers against all Dr reccomendations. Dr Tom did some serious chiro so I could put one foot in front of another. Could never have done it without him Tried some pain meds from other Dr along with usual breakfast of champions LONG ride 3+ hours and finally made first drop. My hi-low back brace[2] got me to the rail The slam of mini cod began and after 100 minis we pulled plug on that spot. All small until I got word from the bow.It seems Jahootie has been moonlighting on me and learned how to catch. He had 4 keepers to the rest of the boats 0. Searched around the area but no good. Off to the land of pollack.
Now anyone knows I love Vike jigs but I'm not a vike painkilla man.It seems mutha nature was looking forward to seeing me call some friends-Ralph,Earl,et al, much to the entertainment of Rich and Dan.A quick BL mouthwash and right back on that horse.
Feelin much better we made another hour ride to 400+ water as I refueled for what we come to expect on every Walsh trip; the pollack slam.
Doubles were the norm with many 20+ LBERS. Made the sundown drop for cod but none to be had.
Final tally-30+ pollack and an acceptable amount of lower back pain. Lesson learned-You can have the meds, I'll take the Bud Light

Nice Job there FC Bob, glad to see you had a good day. We were working hard on RELENTLESS yesterday when you were out fishing. Let me know on the May 7th shared charter trip as I still have three openings.

Thanks,

Dave
