I just heard about a "charter" on a partyboat in NH that went out to platts or flipps and caught alot of Cusk along with some cod and haddock. I heard these guys threw back over 500 Cusk to feed the blueshark as they said. Everyone knows that any bottom fish brought up from the depths does not make it back alive over 50% off the time and cusk even less. My question to you is what would you do? keep the fish and feed the hungry? cusk salad? lets hear some "good" ideas In no means is this meant to "Bash" any boats. I just feel like the person running the charter could have come up with a good idea to do something better with the Fish than to just waste them. | I find it very hard to believe that they caught 500 cusk. I would have to see that to believe it......

| Since these fish are clearly decent to eat - why waste them at all? 500 does seem like a lot - maybe they are just saying that as it seems like you are constantly catching them when you do not want to - like Spiny Dog Fish, "we caught thousands last trip"

| Ah, I just read the thread. Does seem like a waste, but men will be carzy men when given the chance. I don't agree, but $hit happens sometimes. Turned into a game, is what it sounds like. Killing fish for no reason is not right, period. | ||
