Fuel tank

Jim...

have you ever welded up a fuel tank with baffles... i bought a 1973 20 foot mako and i want to have a newer tank made.. a bit bigger too....

what do you think?

try Luthers in RI. They did my tank for the 1979 21 CC mako. Figure $10. a gal un-coated


They even deleivered it to Old Saybrook for me.

JIM.....

Could you cut out the bad part and weld in a patch?

I tried posting Pictures but i dont have enough posts to do so i guess...

Its only about the size of a dime... so the patch could be a 2 inch square to make sure the bad Aluminum is gone.

I didnt realize your shop was in Clinton... My inlaws live right down by Cedar Island...

Thanks jim... but after sleeping on it... i decide to stop being so cheap and get a new tank... this way i dont have to pull it again when it leaks from another spot next year...

but i will need a t-top sooner or later.... i will be in touch.....
