Points: 10,692, Level: 68 | | 1998 wellcraft 240 coastal. 225 johnson oceanrunner 1998 Wellcraft 240 COASTAL,This 24' wellcraft coastal is the perfect blend of offshore fishing machine and weekend cruiser, with a HUGE cockpit for your crew to fight and bring in the monsters of the deep to the fully enclosed helm with waterproof canvas top to get you out of th foul weather if it arrives.(not shown in pictures)Has overnight accomodations in the cabin that have slept me, my girlfriend and our dog comfortably. the cushions have been removed for winter storage when the pictures were taken, but they extend from wall to wall making the entire cabin a bed.fully retractable tinted skylight in the cabin to give you a view of the stars in the summer. Very reliable Johnson Ocean Pro 225 H.P runs perfectly and will get you where you are going in a hurry with a 26mph cruise and 38 mph top speed when fully loaded with fuel and gear. Eagle Seacharter 640c GPS/fishfinder, VHF radio and Jensen 10 disc CD changer are mounted in the helm box at the steering station(all electronics are two years old). this boat comes with 16 ft. Tigress outriggers that colapse to a lenght of 6 ft. for storage while underway. With this setup you can easily troll 6 rods at once! Full transom with storage below with a built in tackle center and tuna door, swim platform with swim ladder. Huge in floor fish box and two 30 gallon livewells. one is not currently plumbed and is being used as a cooler for food/drink. Comes with a 2007 Venture aluminum I beam dual axle trailer with surge brakes, wich is worth $3,200. The perfect setup for serious fishing, and spending a weekend with family and friends. Full walkaround and high bow rails give you a full 360 degrees of fish fighting ability with seating in the bow for the ladies to lounge. comes with all safety gear and anchor with 300 ft of rope. This boat has been excellent for me, but it is time to move up to something larger. $19999, 6175156862 |

Although I have fished the snot out of this boat, and it has served me very well, I want to get into something that is more rugged and purpose built. I have found myself to be the arshole that goes out in the foulest of weather, so I was thinking along the lines of a Parker or Steiger Craft. While im on the subject does anyone have negative or positive feedback on either of these. It would be a 23 or 25 ft model. I cant stand the fact that an inboard on these boats leaves you with a huge box to maneuver around so I would be leaning towards outboards |
