Lami SB 121 3M

Where can I get a good deal on a couple blanks in the RI area?

All the best prices are outside the immediate area and require freight costs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jason

Never heard of them. Did a search and came up empty. Any idea on price?
Anyone here with a retail license than can help me out?

Off topic a bit.... Whatever happened to Lami blem sales? I never see them anymore. Used to be I would get mailings showing them in large quantities a while back but I have not seen anything in a long while.

B2Tackle,

Blems are history. The manufacurers are cutting them up instead of selling them. Seems some rod builders were selling them as first quality. The blank/rod would break and the owner would send it back expecting a new blank. The manufacturers could tell they were blems. I suspect some of the offenders were builders with businesses that were not legal.

On the long blanks my distributer is charged the normal shipping plus a $50 surcharge which all gets passed on to customers.

I'll tell you, I miss the days I could walk into Murat's and get an SB 121 5M for $35

Too bad about the blems... Had a lot of nice rods for cheap money taking that route in the past. Wish I had kept them all rather than barter them away....

I'll be tossing a whole bunch of lures in the 5 to 11 ounce size this summer and the 5M blanks are just a tad too heavy for me now. My neck can't handle it for long. I was hoping for the 3M's cut down a bit to do the job instead but with freight costs, it's out of the question. Guess I'll have to make due.

Thanks for the suggestions.
