Not bad, just watch the gear wear in those (and the drag). I have 2 of them ,and one is toast. The other is still kicking strong after a few seasons, so it seems like the luck of the draw.

My buddy's on his 4th one. I think he buys them to see how long before he blows them up. He took one brand new one to cashes ledge. After all day of double header pollock it was making a new noise. Now after a few offshore seabass trips hes got to thumb it to reel in. They do hold up good though.

Hi,

I have been told that they are a good company to call and tell them your tale. They take care of their customers. Give it a try and let us know how you make out.

Chuck, I've got a
IDx-400LX 5.1:1 7BB + 1RB 13.1 22"
270/14 (0.35), 210/18 (0.40), 180/20 (0.42)
that I use for fluking on a 7'6" St. Croix and like it.
Not as big as the one you mention but after 2 seasons,
I'm happy with it. Not bad for the price I paid for it.
p.s. I need lefty louie reels so my selection is always limited.
Maggie says good thing the net is ambidexterous "NETBOY".
