For the "A" series but not the "B" series (last time I looked).

The spools should still work whether A or B series.

I sent two back to Shimano for repair (and took the spools off to save shipping) they returned with brand new spools (on brand new reels - no charge)

Spools will not work they are different sizes between the A & B

Thanks Mike.
I need spares for the 3500 and I guess I would be better off just getting spare REELS....

I'll thinking about it...
