What have you got to say about the topic of: "Very old (antique?) reels". Here's how is started: "Rummaging through some of my Dad's old "junk" today and found some very old reels. "

| Very old (antique?) reels Rummaging through some of my Dad's old "junk" today and found some very old reels. He began fishing about the end of WWI and saved everything. The reels are: 1) Bache Brown Spinster Airex 2) Mitchell Garcia 300 3) Luxor Pezon Michel 4) Zebco Spinner 777 5) Garcia Mitchell 302 Saltwater All but #5 are small fresh water spinning reels. I would love to know any info you might have about them. How old are they, are they worth anything etc? They appear to be in working or near working condition. ----- |

| Hi, This is strictly a guess on my part. I remember surf spin reels in the early 50's. A big Luxor comes to mind. I learned on a conventional reel. My younger brothers learned on spin reels in the late 50's early 60's and that is where in would place the Mitchell Garcia reels. #1 I am not familiar with. Capt Neil
