Andy Rooney said on "60 Minutes" a few weeks back:
I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like the UnitedCaucasianCollege Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America; and see what happens...Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door.

I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business.
We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and open to their interpretations.

I am sick of "Political Correctness." I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa; so how can they be "African-Americans"? Besides, Africa is a continent. I saw this same thing about 4 years ago. It is not factual. Andy Rooney did not say those things...

I agree with them but they are not his words as far as I know.

It is what most of the country is probably thinking but could you imagine if he really said those things? I saw the same thing awhile ago too and figured in this day and age comments like that would be front page, not passed around on the internet somewhere. Remember Kramer?

Good morning,

I wish some one of prominence would publically stand up and say that.

Yeah, I could have a grand father back in the last century that may have jumped ship to get into this country, I don't know. But that was last century. That is long gone. We live in the present and that is what counts. What folks did in the past is their doings, their history. Learn from the past and let it go.

In the past people who wanted a different way were called 'do gooders'. Usually they were looking to do good for some one. Today we have all these groups wanting to change oue way of life and not for the better. I want our Country to stay 'united under God', I want our Country to make moral decisions that are black and white and not based of legal laws that are gray. These people are trying to tear our Country down and make it a Country where you can do anything you want and if you do some thing real bad you will be treated for a sickness instead of doing hard jail time.

I may be getting long in the tooth but my parents taught us right from wrong as well as did the other families. We were taught about responsibility and accountability. Ha, my Father taught me accountability in the garage several times. I know it hurt him to do it but I deserved it. He did not abdicate his authority and no one challenged him about it. Today if some one hears a child crying they may call the cops. We were not perfect by any means but people tried to do what was right. In many ways my childhood was much better than what goes on today.

Now we read about local governments and police depts not enforcing laws such as immigration. Then we have these idiots in the Boulder school sysyem telling high school students to go do drugs, sex of every kind and whatever else they were spouting. It is no wonder that the young people of this generation have no solid foundation upon which to build a life. Heck, the foundation began to crumble with the 'flower children' of the 60's.

I wish we had politicians with moral fiber to choose from. In the past, the 4 major political party's had different agendas for the same topic. Most times a middle ground was reached that made sense, stayed within the realm of responsibility and helped the citizens. Now it is open war, verbally of course, in Congress and do you see anything being accomplished of note. Sure they attach riders to every bill to give our money away to special groups, to buy votes and what ever. That is wrong but in present do America it is the way.

Ahh, I better get back to wrapping rods before I ruin my day.
