McCain was wounded in the Vietnam war were he spent a long time as a prisoner of war @ the Hanoi Hilon as they called it. I believe his distorted jaw reflects a bullet or injury he received when he was beaten as a POW. Just to let you know.

Nice, the man goes to war. Spends years in the Hanoi Hilton. Gets beat, shot and whatever else he chooses not to tell us. Serves his country and the people who elect him to the senate. Puts his life under a microscope to run for president and you decide to mock him.

p.s.- I hate his politics, but respect him. I just hate narrow minded people like you.

Demonfish,

I read the same posts as you did but did not come to the conclusion that anyone was narrow minded. Quite the contrary, previous posts by these gentlemen proved them to be quite broad minded. I am so old, that I was alive when FDR was president. Things were very nice back then; the media would not even post a full sized picture of him sitting in his wheelchair (polio had crippled him.) Today, if the media got a hold of McCain's medical records, they would post it all over the place for everyone to see. Like you, I shy away sardonic humor, but I cannot find fault in anyone that tries to bring a chuckle even if is at the expense of a politician. Things have changed quite a bit over the years and politicians are now held accountable for every word or association they make; but our form members are not. This form (a fishing form) would go to hell very quickly if every member had to think and weigh carefully everything they said to determine if it was fit and proper. Let's get back to talking about "black fishing", oops let's cross that out and replace it with "tog fishing". My commercial bait dealer friends have told me our local Charter boats captains have been putting in orders for green crabs, yet no fishing reports are coming out. So what is happening with the blackfish?

as it seems, this feature is resulting from his bout with melanoma.

time to get to the marine stores & purchase my spring boat supplies. my narrow minded focus is now on getting back to mother ocean!

still like the idea of spitoons in the white house

I'd rather give my left nut than have a Democrat in office, but I gotta tell ya, McCain just doesn't do it for me.

I saw an interview with him last night on Foxnews with Shawn Hannity. He's against drilling for oil in Alaska. That really pissed me off. He's already cow-towwing to Enviros..

mccain may end up being the only choice with the dems self-destructing. some real funny chit watching the obama saga. good to see both socialists true colors come to view.

i never did understand the opposition to harvesting our own natural resources. is it the "not in MY backyard mentality"?

Talk to the people in the Great Lakes, the mid west rivers, out west rivers damned over. Talk to the inner city steel city people. All of them saw their hunting and fishing wiped out by the pollution. Trout streams in the west were completely void of any fish after hundreds of years of producing. Turn off the ball game on t.v. and put on National Geographic and see the state of the planet. These are not republicans or democrats producing these shows, they are scientists and film makers trying to wake you people up. Yes Al Gore is as dry as yesterdays white bread toast but he does know what he's talking about. There is plenty of oil. I live thirteen miles from the biggest oil terminal on Long Island. During the winter there are supertankers backed up in Long Island sound waiting to off load. Commodties brokers and oil servicing companies are making altmost as much as the oil companies. Exxon Mobile polluters of Alaska making 500 million dollars profit are asking for their pollution fines to be lowered claiming economic hardships. Bullshit! Get your heads out of the sand and look around, oil is flowing, rich bastards are ripping us off, people are going into bankruptcy to pay their oil bills and politicans are on the take for all of this to happen. Good luck and god speed to all of us.
