I'll have to agree with sun bum. If you as an employer are hiring illegals then you should lose any right to run a business in this country. employers do this to cut costs on payroll because they are too cheap to pay an honest working american a decent wage. I've worked labor for the past 12 years of my life and I see this all too often. the place where I work now tried doing that once and I personally made sure that this illegal did not last long with the company. If he still worked there then I would have quit a long time ago. I don't agree with the hiring of illegals for any reason. wether it is to cut payroll costs or to help someone out. how about paying people what they are worth and not just enough to keep them from quitting. I understand everyone needs to make money but it is a little frustrating to see the boss driving a lexus while all of his help barely make enough money to pay the rent and put food on the table. If it wasn't for hard working employees than most businesses would not make any money. hiring illegals to cut costs just takes more money away citizens that are already having a hard time making ends meet. any employers out there that are knowingly employing illegal aliens should be ashamed of themselves and what they are doing to this country. that is not just my 2 cents , that is the god damed truth.

also, to restate another fact., Employers who hire illegal aliens just so they can line their own pockets are worthless scumbags and should be deported as well. they are just as big a problem as the illegals themselves.

This thread has been reopened. I am not clear why it was locked, albite a hot toipic, I see no lines being crossed, and simple disagreement should not force a thread to be closed.

I agree with most of what is in here, as I am heavily against the emplyments of illegal immigrants.

The "cards" the "mayor of New Haven" are both jokes. AND then the Mayor has the balls to bitch because Immigration made a pinch of many when it was first laid out. The Feds should have started by arresting the Mayor for aiding and abetting known illegals and thrown his ass in jail!
Then the people knowingly hiring the illegals next followed by shipping the illegals out. There are legal ways to enter the U.S. and they are simply being ignored.
This thread is a sore point and does get the blood going...........

I'm not for hiring "illegals" but as i stated before, the entire problem lies within the social security administration, The illegals must have taxes deducted from thier paychecks. A legal (citizen or non citizen) has to file in april and they get what they over paid back. When a legal gets to retirement, they recieve back money from social security(which isn't much to live on, but something nonetheless) now the ILLEGALS get the money deducted, and cannot file for an overpayment return, nor can they colllect benefits at retirement age. The old rumor that when we retire, there won't be any ss funds left, well from what i understand, it's gonna be close, so the SSA works with INS and if they don't break any "other" laws, they are ignored, this pumps money into the system....that can only be used by "legals".

SUNBUM, I understand where you come from. Trying to compete when the competitor uses illgals, and they under cut you. this is only true to the degree that if they employ the illegals and pay "under the table" which would be the same for a guy on comp...or a guy on unemployment, and they get paid under the table....when an employer pays under the table, no matter who they pay, they usually pay less....because cash is worth more. so your gripe should be with competitors paying under the table.(although i understand your patriotic allegiance)

flounderpounder, Have you ever done a "cash" job??? ever get paid under the table? know anyone that has? Then me as an employer, who hires an employee that submits an I-9, am not a scumbag, and i shouldn't be referred to as one, nor should i lose my "right" to run a business, be punished or pay any penalties.

Please before you BASH anyone or call an employer "worthless scumbag" please have your facts in order......anyone has the right to an opinion(even if it appears stupid) noone has a right to thier own facts. Me? I got my facts in order.

Illegals

The only thing the Mayor cares about is votes. He only answers to Yale, his former employer, who loves using New Haven for social experiments. I wonder if they have any illegals on the payroll? The Mayor didn't thing up the green card on his own.

I wasn't bashing anyone in particular, just stating my OPINION on any employers that hire illegals. If any employers were bothered by my comment then they must have a guilty consience. I personally don't work for cash nor have I ever been paid under the table. The last cash job that I took was when I was about 13 years old mowing lavns or shoveling snow. If you think that that can be compared to hiring illegals then you are crazy. I know this is a touchy subject but it is also a very important one as well. I think that venting in an online forum is a much more positive thing than going out and kicking the crap out of every illegal I see. every man woman and child in this country has the right to express their opinion on this matter and they should before this country is more over run with illegals than it already is.
