The other night we watched a movie called, "Flags of our Fathers." During the movie, I pointed out the radio broadcast of "Tokyo Rose." She had the best music on her station. During World War II; the Japanese developed a way to demoralize the American forces. Psychological warfare experts developed a message they felt would work. They gave the script to their famous broadcaster "Tokyo Rose" and every day she would broadcast this same message packaged in different ways. The Japanese hoped it would have a negative impact on American GI's morale.



What was that demoralizing message? It had three main points:

1.Your President is lying to you.


2.This war is illegal.


3.You cannot win the war.




Does this sound familiar today?



It is because we are being bombarded by Tokyo Hillary, Tokyo Harry, Tokyo Teddy,Tokyo Nancy, Tokyo Murtha, etc. They have picked up the same message and are broadcasting it on Tokyo CNN, Tokyo ABC, Tokyo CBS, Tokyo NBC, etc., to our troops. The only difference is that they claim to support our troops before they demoralize them. Come to think of it, Tokyo Rose told the troops she was on their side too.

Communistas, just like ol' Jane Fonda in Vietnam. They oughta be flogged, tarred & feathered, and then hung as a spectacle. Can't stand the asswipes attempting to take a "moral" highgrounds. Right or wrong, the "war" in Iraq & Afghanistan is in play, has been for some time, and will be for more to come. We must support our troops as a country, united, whether we agree with it or not. Being a patriot does not mean liking what is happening, it means supporting your country.

It is a sad day when the best our political leaders can do to resolve and define a way forward in a difficult war is reduce the funding .. Ya, that will fix things, less combat troops, ships with no gas, jets without fuel, Air Combat missions with 1/2 the normal ordance load out ete ... etc. The services will then be forced to reduce funding at home to support the forward deployed .. that usually translates to reduced training funding....

Some of these people need to spend some time in a dirt hole getting shot at while holding your shot up buddy that just saved your A$$ from being blown away.......

Hi,

Not a Hillary fan but she did take a stand on defending the USA at last nights debate. The other 7 were suckin' wind on that question. I think she is one of the few on that side of the fence that realize what could happen if we don't fight.

I am not a war monger but if it is inevitable then get your dungarees on, bell bottoms with patch pockets, and clean house. Our problem today is that we abide by RULES of ENGAGEMENT while our enemies don't!!!

Heaven help us if the "secular progressives" take over. I hope all the guys who own the 250 million guns in this country are tradionalists and not extremists.

Something I think about. Our ancestors had a great country to immigrate to. Where do we go?

I enjoyed your post Capt Neil. We are in an awkward situation there weather you think it was right or wrong to go in there. We are there and people are dying both US boys and girls and lots of civilians. If we just get out we'll save our troops and that place will just continue to deteriorate into a lawless hole that no one is safe in. And the muslim extremists will kill blindly unabated. But if we stay the question is "can we stop it"????


I don't know the answer. I hope democracy grabs hold and the sane people get strong enough to defend themselves against the whacko's. I'm just not convinced we can change it.
