Many of us have been let to believe that "Global Warming" is real, it's caused by man, and the US is largely at fault. It's a constant drum beat of news addressing one or more of these points.

Way back in Nazi Germany the Government learned that if you repeat a lie enough times, people will basically just believe it, and not question it.

To me at least, this is the issue of Global Warming. You are not hearing the "other" side of the story and those thousands of scientists who say it's not true are basically silenced or called quacks.

Anyway, here is a little perspective. Please read these links. They just might get you questioning this Global Warming thing. I'd be surprised if the most ardent believers don't scratch their heads and wonder if all we've been "taught" (more like force fed) is true.

Every time I open my mouth about something in this form it seems like I put my foot in it. Here we go again and I will probably tick off half of the form members. I would guess that about half the population believes we are the cause of global warming, the other half believes we are not the cause. Of course, then there are a few that don't even believe we are in a global warming situation (I know, my math doesn't exactly add up.) Based on my heating bills and efforts to keep warm this past winter I am not too sure we are in global warming situation. However, I am too stupid to understand those who state that not only are we the cause of global warming, but global warming is going to induce a mini ice age. It is really hard to point a finger at them as they have covered all of their bases. I really think there are several very good reasons why people behave the way they do when it comes to the topic of global warming. Please understand that this is my own personal opinion and if you do not agree with me then flush my remarks down the drain. Those promoting global warming are making a grab for power. It is a very real danger that can seriously hurt all of us. Al Gore, is the biggest con man of our times. His company hold large assets in carbon offsets. The value of these assets will depend on just how tight the government controls the emission of so called green house gases. Very tight controls the value of these carbon offsets will skyrocket, ease the control of these gases and the value of these offsets will tumble. Gore not only has a major conflict of interest, he has no scientific background. Like it or not Gore is a leader and has a very large following. I thought long about why anyone would follow the likes of Gore in this matter, and this what I truly believe.
People, no matter what their religious beliefs are, have a need to grab at something to bolster themselves up as we pass through the difficulties of life. Those who do not believe in some sort of supreme being must sooner or later ask themselves the question for what purpose are we put here. I do not even think the populous is aware of what is going on inside of their own inner core. These are not stupid people, it is just something that seems to be part of the makeup of a human being. Since many today are definitely moving away from organized religion, there is a very real need to replace it with something. Global warming answers this purpose perfectly. I am here to save the world! Have you ever tried to win a religious argument? There is no way you could ever convince anyone that their inner most beliefs are faulty. Global warming takes on all the characteristics of a religion. Those that disagree with you are to be silence. Their belief is the only right one. How could anyone dare interfere with me when I am here to save the world. Scientific thought or reason is unnecessary because their inner most belief of global warming is based on faith. Possum, it is impossible to budge the faith of a human being. Hopefully, I think many of the scientific community that have been silenced for so long have had enough. They are starting to step up and be heard. There are going to be many that will never budge on this issue, but we are finally starting to move in the right direction. Unfortunately, great harm is probably going to occur before this scam is recognized for what it is.

the earth may be going through an up-temp cycle as it always has since the beginning. the cycles are fact. i think the first cycle effected by mankind was when we first started casting our flint-tipped arrows into the air! many ancients believed that caused the last ICE-AGE.

The whole Global Warming topic is as controversial as it gets. There is "proof" from many sides, showing evidence to everyone's view on the topic. With all the overwhelming evidence being provided, we can be sure of 1 thing. Idiots rule this planet, with opinion being biased into science.

Seriously if you don't believe that the world is going through a warming period you must surely be somewhat crazy. Seriously are you kidding me? Have you seen the pictures of the glaciers, the rise in water height world wide, the warmest winters on records, the record hot summers. Have you not seen the images from around the world.

I just did a huge report with my son on areas of the world greatly affected and I was amazed at the difference 20, 10 and even 5 years has made. The signs are there, they are everywhere.

Im not saying the world is going to end but if we don't all start doing our part generations from now our families will pay the price, to think the earth is a never ending source of energy and that our neglect will not affect it is not thinking with their head.
