The Urine Test Like a lot of folks in this country...I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test, with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet.

| Totally agree.I myself on certain jobs have to take a urine test myself.You would be amazed at how many people i see fail.  | ||

| I too agree with what you say, and I along with my employees have to take one so I am able to purchase workers comp insurance at a reasonable rate BUT, I'm getting tired of dealing with drunks on the jobsite who are not monitored at all. In my own opinion, I would rather work with someone who got stoned lastnight than someone who got sh*tfaced. Lets treat everyone equal. | ||

| I second that. people who drink alcohol and come to work hung over or still drunk from the night before are a much greater risk than someone who fired one up the night before. If you ask me, if a company urine tests its employees then they should also make it a fail if it tests positive for alcohol as well. I do understand that marijuana is illegal and alcohol is not but from personally having used both these substances I'll have to say that alcohol had a much greater negative effect on my life and performance on the job after a night of partying than pot ever could. Just my 2 cents  | ||

| while it's difficult to say my drug of choice is better/less harmful than yours.......i must agree that someone who was drunk the night before is far more USELESS in the workplace than one who was smoking mother nature... same goes for fishin'!! also like the idea of testing for those recieving public assistance.... good thing i'm self employed lol | ||
