Hello from Rum Cay, Bahamas and Relentless Sportfishing Charters It has been awhile since we last went fishing and since our last fishing report but last week we had our first guests of 2008 and the fish did not dissapoint. Brothers Patrick and Scott Rubsamen and their good friend Mike Pedsotti arrived in Rum Cay for a surfing and fishing vacation. Our days were filled with a combination of surfing and fishing with conditions great for both activities. The cold fronts pushing through the United States provided a good swell from the NNE and they took full advantage of the waves. After an early morning surf session we would run offshore to the Northeast point for good fishing. The wahoos are here as are the tunas, dolphin and the scattered billfish. Over the course of 5 days we saw good action on the wahoos catching 8 with several in excess of 40 lbs. We also were attacked by the dolphin and Patrick Rubsamen landed one that weighed in at 48lbs. Additionally we raised 4 billfish which is very encouraging considering that this is not 'marlin season' but as is the in Rum Cay the possibility exsists to catch a marlin everyday of the year. Unfortunately we managed to very skillfully elude our chances but that is what keeps us coming back for more. All in all it was a great trip and we are looking forward to Patrick, Scott and Mike's return in the summer. We will be fishing again next week and on a fairly regular basis after that so be on the lookout for future reports. Until then, good fishing and tight lines! Sincerely Captain Ross'Flash'Clark Note: Relentless is a 54ft Ricky Scarborough that charters for $1500/day. Package including accommodations and fishing for up to six persons is $2500/day and available thru our office.

At the beginning of last summer we had the World Class Sportfishing Show's Sue Vermillion and Captain Peter B. Wright as guests on the Relentless for filming a tv show to be aired in the next 2 months. It will be airing on the Outdoor Channel and the dates and times are listed below. Be sure to watch, they had great fishing and the show should be exciting. Thanks and until later Tight lines Captain Ross"Flash"Clark
