|  Assateaque late friday morning fished 3 rigs just past #1 dune crossing right after the top of high tide. Wind S15(at least!). Fished cut bunker on standard bluefish rig caught a couple in the 3-4# range 1 hr. after high. No hits on the doodle bug with bunker strip missed one on it with a gulp squid stip, varying gulp baits on the other rig no hits. The beach has a lot of loose and new sand. spotted Popoises and later what looked like a crusing shark. I'll check him out Sunday in the Mako.Cooler temps out on the sand in the breeze, minimal bugs. All in all a pretty good good day got a bend in the rod!  |
