Cool Assateaque surf Sunday afternoon

Got out on the beach at 4:45pm drove south of #1 crossing a little and set up shop. West wind all day the surf was near flat. Soaked, bunker filets, gulp squid strips, gulp bloodworms, and gulp 2" peeler crab. Got a hit on the crab(surprisingly!) no hook ups. Fished from 5:00 to 7:45. Nice weather did'nt see or hear of any catches but that's not to say there were'nt! I'll do the surf more this week unless I get the boat fixed. Local reports of blues and tog at the OC inlet and a few last week (blues, stripers) off the beach. Just figures, flat water and no boat. Could have been on the tog.

Cool

Got to fix the steering (teleflex outboard) replaced the helm station but still not getting the full range so the cable is next. Would like to change to hydraulic but not in the budget right now. be back in action soon.
