car wash blues

Went down to the car wash on rt1 this morning at about 5:30 am bunker so thick you could walk on them.Easy bait for the late tide today , I'll hit a couple of spots on the West Haven shore later on.

Back to the car wash report....... filled a bucket with bunker in about 10 minutes snagged one every cast even got one about 7" long. Live lined one while I was snagging but didn't even get a hit on that. Oh did I mention there were blues just crushing the bunker, wonder why they wanted nothing to do with my bunker. Maybe so much bait available they didn't care about mine. There was a guy fishing a few spots up from me with a plug and he was getting a hit on almost every cast. Hmmmmm , so I put a plug on.....this time around I had wire leaders. Good to go I had six blues all around 10lb , I gave them to some of the guys down there for their dinner table. Alot of fun was had .... looking forward to going out later on , hopefully I'll find a bass hanging around.

One of the guys at the car wash told me that yesterday morning some guy caught two keeper bass at the fire training station. Maybe they'll show up soon , so I can get a trip booked with Reelcrazy for the guys I work with.
