Here's an extention to the hottest lure Q.

How have you connceted these to your line? This does make a difference most would admit.

swivel, snap, direct to line, rapala knot, etc.?

Give some details lets see what the popular method is.

Rapala knot for me 90% of the time. And that's what I recommend when I'm doing seminars.

Last year the 9" Slug-O's outfished everything but eels. Others that I did well on were Assassins & loaded redfins.

RI Popper - Do you use a leader and barrel swivel when tossing plugs?

[IMAGE]http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/content/Item/31/67/11/i316711sq01.jpg[/IMAGE]

I use 30lb power pro and only this year have been experimenting with a barrel swivel then 3ft. 40lb Floro. It's a bitch to tie a Rapala w/40lb floro. and it breaks often, even when cinching wet. In the past I've tied a uni knot to 30lb mono. The action was very different and easier knots to tie.

This ones a new one for me. Read that some pros have been using it recently.

That was an interesting knot! I use a sinch knot on the swivel and a rapala knot on the plug. I think that's what it's called. It's the knot that leaves a loop so the lure can be free swimming.
