Long Island Surf - Robert Moses - Information needed

Hi all

My sister and her friend have purchased a beach pass for her truck and is doing an over night surf trip this weekend at Robert Moses State Park. She is using my surf fishing equipment because she has none, which is also an indication of her experience with surf fishing. I have never been there, but was wondering if anyone with information about this area could pass it along. Landmarks of where to set up, bait suggestions for that area, local tackle shops to check in with, etc.

So I can get a better idea, is this like the line up of the surf casters as I have seen along the north rip of Block, or is this more solitary fishing. Anything is appreciated.

Thanks

Woody
