Which do you prefer and why?
I like the duo-locks.Easy to use.Haven't had one open on me yet.But then again,I haven't caught much over 20# from the surf either

Bait fishing,I always use the Breakaway fast links, spin links.

Steve , the duo locks give better action to the lure especially metals where it lets it swing back and forth getting that flash out there.
Bait fishing I snell my circle hook to the leader.

I agree Joe.
Same here with the snells.
When I said for bait fishing,I meant I use the breakaway clip to attach my rig to.So I can quickly and easily change from hi-lo's to fishfinders, snag hook etc.....
Also have to revise my quote of "not much over 20 from the surf".....had a very good spring
