West haven sand bar has been pretty hot the past week. schoolies all over the place with some keepers mixed in

The mouth of the CT. River is slowly becoming alive.. Lots of schoolie fun!
Small plastics seem to be doing the trick.

We hit schoolies in the mouth of CT. River last Friday.
Tried at each rock pile up to the r.r. bridge and caught
fish at every stop. Soft plastics, low and slow.

Yup!
Blues all over Jersey.Was in a 3 hour blitz of the monsters 2 weeks ago.
All on metal too
But had fun on poppers the last 1/2 hour till dark.

4 Keepers in Westbrook Sunday in the Kayak. I did keep one (31") for a fish fry with the family. Posted pic in Kayak section/forum
