Just a fast heads up. Regulations for 2008 are going to become very restrictive. A preliminary meeting with DEP was held this week to just give the Marine Advisory Group a heads up. Public Hearings will be held.

Short story - approximately a 30% reduction in both fluke and scup for 2008. Small changes to reduce the seabass catch - approx. 8% reduction. Tautog have been discussed before, DEP is still determining options but the 4 fish limit in the fall appears likely.

NOTE: Reductions apply to all states and commercial fisheries as well.
