Double wammie

Tuesday was the best day the stars were all aligned i got to my blind early and i set up one hen deke
i got in the blind and got set up i made one call a hen came over the hill right up to the the deke and circled it and left i wasnt long another hen came in this one was really shy and kept checking things out i made a sound call on my new scratch box three more hens came in i was shocked to see one had a beard i watched it for a few minutes i decided to take her seeing bearded hens are legal i wacked her she flped around and went over the hill out of my view i could hear her floping then nothing.
Every thing got quiet i made a call on my slate i heard a gobble it was a long ways off i made another cal it kept gobbleing and getting closer so i stopped soon it was right behind me it made a gobble right behind the blind so loud i almost jumped out of my skin.
I looked out the left window to see a Tom going by with another one right behind it i got a good shot off it went a few feet and expired ,i went looking for the hen i shot earlier and found her ,A great morning 2 birds with my crossbow

Good stuff Andy. That crossbow is a dream for someone like you. Glad you got the 2 birds, they're tasty (albeit, a PITA to clean).
