Got up to pouring rain this morning i took a look at the radar it showed no rain in western conn.
I left at 530 by time i got to my blind the rain stopped.
I set out one deke and made a few calls heard nothing i looked to my left i could see some movement red heads were coming towards me 8 in total all jakes i waited they kept coming closer i was scoping them out and trying to decide if i should shoot one as they turned to go back i picked out the biggest one and wacked him i hit him kinda towards the front at least that is how it looked ,the rest of the flock walked off the way they came and he tryed to follow them wobbling along and went over a small hill, the flock hung around clucking finely they left .
I decided it was best to wait and give him time to expire as i was waiting i heard a gobble i returned the call 5 jakes came in from the other direction with a hen they went up to my deke and circled around and started to leave i heard a gobble here comes 3 Toms they were really spooky and never came in close.
I needed to look for the bird i shoot so i got out of the blind and walked towards where i last seen it there it was lying in the open ,what a morning to see so many birds....

I shot through the screen window it never deflected my shoot .
I am shooting 100 gr slicktricks man what a hole they make....
