Two Bowlines, loop to loop will never jam, maybe a bit bulky but will work if you need it to.

I second the Bowline!! Make a loop, (Rabbit comes out of the hole, around the tree and back down the hole!) LOL. Never Jam!!! .

Chuck: what size boat do you have?? All of that crap I have,(you don't see half of it) is on a 24' boat. It's only 8'-3" wide thats why those fish look so big LOL.

Another question guys,

How do you determine what diameter anchor line you need. I see all the specs on tensile strength, but how does that relate to boat size? Is it better to have a smaller diameter and have some stretch or larger diameter with less stretch?

Hi Alloy Toy, IMHO, the smaller diameter the better. Drops faster, less resistance at anchor, takes up less storage room & is less expensive. I am using 3/8" for my 7,000 pound 26 footer. I know some Captains who are running 30' plus boats with twice my weight who still use the 3/8" line. If I were on the fence, I would sooner go to 7/16" than the 1/2".
