Tuna Tactics-101 class The Hook-UP!

"The Hook-Up!" Bait & Tackle Shop will be holding our very popular tuna fishing class, "Tuna Tactics-101. How to catch bluefin tuna." We will be holding this class on Sunday March 4th, Sunday March 25th, and Sunday April 22nd from 11am to 4pm. The class is held right here at "The Hook-Up!" in Orleans Ma. This class has been created to give the novice angler some inside tips and practical information to help them take advantage of the school tuna fishery that has exploded in the last several seasons. Capt. Eric Stewart has landed over 650 tuna on charters in the last two seasons and he will be your host for the class. Capt. Eric will cover such topics as boat handling, gear selection, stand up techniques, trolling patterns and spreads, lure selections and colors, NMFS regulations, rigging and crimping, proper care of harvested fish, releasing techniques, and many other topics. Come and spend an exciting afternoon with capt. Eric as he gives you a birds eye view from his bridge on the sportfishing boat the "Tammy Rose". The class cost is $75.00 per person pre-paid, and includes lunch and a notebook, and each class is limited to 30 seats. Call us at the shop at 508-240-0778 for reservations and info. Thanks from the crew at "The Hook-Up!"

We will be posting some future class dates in May and June soon. If you would like to make a reservation please call us at "The Hook-Up!" at 508-240-0778. Thanks Capt. Eric

Awesome Seminar!!!

What a great time I had today attending Captain Eric Stewart?s ?Tuna Tactics 101? at his shop in Orleans. Even though I am a charter captain I thought by attending this seminar I would pick up a few extra pointers on fishing for bluefin tuna. Eric was outstanding with his presentation and I came away with a few of his secrets which I am looking forward to try this summer. I recommend those who fish for tuna, take his seminar and stop in and visit his shop which is loaded with the latest bars and rigs. Not only were his presentation good but he and his crew put out an awesome spread with platters and beverages for the breaks. This allowed everyone to meet fellow anglers and share their tips and stories. I want to thank Captain Eric for putting this on and I wish him the best of luck this season.

Thanks alot guys. It was really nice getting to meet you two. That was my biggest class to date. I try and hold it around 28-30 guys but we had standing room only! Great group of guys though. I just wanted to give everyone an update on the next couple of classes. The April and May classes are completely SOLD OUT. I have selected two more dates with the first one being Thursday June 21st from 4 to 9 pm and the next class will be Saturday, July 7th from 4 to 9 pm. I switch to evening classes in the summer to make it easier to travel to and from the Cape. The July class will be the last class of the season because the tuna bite is way to good in Aug through Oct to be stuck in a classroom My charter bookings are too busy for me to find a day to do another class. So if you are interested in learning about trolling for tuna give us a call and book your spot today. The admission cost is $100.00. These classes will sell out quickly. Call the shop at 508-240-0778. Thanks Capt. Eric
