Plenty of mackeral

Had a pretty good day yesterday put the boat in Salem harbor at around 5:00 AM and headed out past the islands for bait. Loaded up on bait no problem and the headed back in side to look for some bass no problems there either. Live lining bait is probably my favorite way to fish for bass. My son brought a 30 inch fish to the boat in the first half hour a nice size for the box and we didn't get any fish bigger than that for the rest of the morning but we were consistently on fish all morning. We put the boat back on the trailer for noon I had other plans for the afternoon but we could have stayed out all day and probably have gotten more bait. All and all it was a nice day to be on the water and take home a bass for dinner.

Thanks it was fun while it lasted but the bait is getting harder to find. I will have to wait a couple of weeks for the mackerel to come back and then we'll be right back out there doing more of the same.
