Rod Choice

Any suggestions on a good bass rod in the $100 - $150 range? Looking for something to use off the boat for clams and chunks in the fall run. I fish the South Shore of Long Island from the West Bar to the East.

Personally I have always used Star rods and never had a problem. For bass I use a 7' Nickelite 15-30 casting rod. I have also used it for tautog fishing. It is a very stiff rod but is still sensitive. http://www.seastriker.com/starrods/

I'm using an Abu 7000C3 with 40# power pro. It's for my older son. I'm giving him the reel. I replaced it with an Avet MXJ on a Seeker BA85.

thanks for the help
