Hooked Where's the Blues

Had a family charter this Saturday and we opted for P Town. Saw Cpat. Dave of Relentless bringing them over the transom in good fashion and I think he had some sushi on board from earler in the day. We did decent on Bass but gotta tell you those BFT have moved the big schools of my favorite lobstah bait off site

Understand the back side has a few to give up

Good luck out there and keep your eyes open...While trolling by the bathouse in a sizable fleet we spotted two scuba divers in the fleet trolling pattern..now they do have every right to be there but

Vin one of the guys I used to tuna fish commercially with a few years ago always dived for lobsters from Wood end all the way out to the Bath house. He said the bottom is loaded with them and diving is the only way to get them as the depth varies and the current is so fast. Pots will not hold in the bottom there. I doubt it was Gene though as He dives smart and uses a flag and his mate never keeps the boat very far from the flag. His boat is the Anna Lise. It is a green 35' nauset.

Hi Seaker,
I was right next to you for a little while on Saturday in my friends HydraSport CC. Thats a nice ride you have! We managed to do pretty well on the troll but the size was not what it was on Tuesday 7/3 and the topwater Bass action never really lit up like it did the other day. There are still plenty of fish in that area as we marked them all day long all over the humps that are there. We waited the bite out and stayed until around 5:30PM. The Blues were blitzing all over the surface which provided some fun, but the Bass were not up top all day long. I did see those divers that you mentioned as well. I was thinking about everyone dragging wire out there and accidently snagging one of them. It must be a great view from down there with all the bait and fish around though. All in all it was a nice day on the water and a sloppy ride back across CC Bay.

Hey Brian thanks for the kind words. I wicked missed my mate Cappy Say as this was going to be a take their boat day then it was a Seaker outing and iJay was off chasing sweetwater fish. We had a blast but managed to knock out three reels (wire) dropped a few and caught some so it all ended well and beleive this..the young guys came over to my house and gave a nifty tip!

I hope to have em all aborad again real soon...

Danny they were right along the pot line off the bath house in black wet suits with hoods on..no flag just a pool noodle like the kids play with.

Like I said before they have every right to be there but holly mackeral way to easy to get entangled with line, hooks, boats...

Capt. Brian right you are I wonder what all that stuff swimin by must look like...Like Filene's Basement during one of their used to be famous holiday sales

Thanks Capt Curt

Yup it just seemed a bit unusual that the WO bluefish bite was non existant in the morning. This half day left our mainra at 0430 and I got back at 1400 so it was all good.

Will be running south this weekendfor some troll tuna and a bit of sharkin
