NB$ Groundfishing Charter : The American Classic

NBSSportfishing.com will be engaging in a 35 man private charter aboard the American Classic of Walsh's Fishing

Haddock : Pollock : Cusk : Wolffish

Fast, 25 Knots : 95 Feet : Galley

Powered By Three (3) V-16 Detroit Diesels

When: April 6, 2007 (Good Friday)
Where: Lynn, MA
Fishing: Stellwagen Bank area
Crew: 35, strictly limited, NB$ Members only (and guests)

The cost will be around $60 per person, departing promptly @ 5:00 AM (or so, details to be firmed up). Could be more if we don't get 35 folks.

I have fished with Captain Jim Walsh MANY times and he knows his $hit, as many on this board already know.

Captain Dave Waldrip (Relentless) will be with us as well on this venture, for a rip roaring time of ball busting, fishing, and hopefully catching. Thanks go out to him for helping get this setup with Captain Walsh.

The Cod fishery will have just reopened as of April 1, 2007 after a 5 month GOM prohibition on Cod fishing. Obviously, we will also have a shot at Haddock, Pollock, Cusk, Wolfish, etc...

Fishing in 100'-300', bait or jigs. Rod/Reel rental is $5

Post up if you want in, and as we get closer, we'll start collecting fares in late January/February. Since this will be a private charter, we will be asking for the fare up front. We will take all your information and provide a complete list to Captain Walsh upon boarding (as he needs real names for the manifest). We will be providing name and address information in late January

See here for roster list

Roster Closed for this thread !!

Had to drop the 2 who haven't responded to multiple PM contacts. Bumped up Chaldo's 2 slots.

5:00 AM Departure

Captain Jim informs me he would like to depart the dock at 5:00 AM, if you guys can handle it. I am in for 2 spots and glad I could help set this trip up. Oh I see some good laughs on this one.

1:30 AM, I ain't no slacker...LOL

Yeah, I'll probably be there "rather" early. I like my "spots" on that boat. It's all preference, however, I prefer to fish in one of 2 specific locations.

Updated post with above, inlcuding 5:00 AM departure. Damn, I just wanted to get it going, and I'm getting jacked over the 7:00 AM deal. LOL. I had thought it may be 5:00, but now I have confirmation.

This will be a sweet trip of fishing, no doubt. Hopefully catching goes along with it. I love groundfishing. A madman of sorts I am.

We gotta get Chaldo to go on this one. He can bring some pool "prizes". LOL. Never mind, I didn't go there.
