Walsh's 10/14 Trip

First and Foremost My Hats off to Capt Jim and His Mates They did an outstanding job putting us on fish and getting them over the rails .Jim Can operate that boat Like its 10 feet long. When he says drop your line You are on fish.
Secondly I want to thank all of the NBS People that put this trip togeather.
Jim, Brad and Dom.Great Trip When we going again

Thirdly if thats a word ,I'm still wiped out and I dont drink
It was great to meet everyone that attended the trip. I cant remember all the names cause I'm OLD But it was great to fish along side of everyone from NBS The best web site on the net .And The best group of people I have ever fished with.
I have not gone Cod fishing in 25 years . Yesterday reminded me of how much I love Ground Fishing. I must have caught 25-30 fish yesterday most being boarder line throw backs and most I did just that .I kept 4 fish between 5-10lbs and of course the POOL Fish. Ebin and I shared the first place pool with 2 fish that weighed 35.3 lbs each at the end of the day Thats got to be a first. The way I look at it each of us got a free trip and it open'd a slot for another prize fish. To My understanding all the big fish caught yesterday ended up being everyone's Personal Best fish .Now that alone is a Prize .Congrats to all.
The weather Gods were in our favor the sun came up and the water was flat I only took a couple pics Busy fishin instead .

Once again Thanks to all Involved

Thanks to who took this pic

Glad everyone is starting to wake up today. I have to say that the most impressive aspect of the trip was not in the meatfishing for the smaller cod but with the educated approach of all our forum members. The amount of 22-26'' fish returned unharmed shows how the mindset of recreational fishermen can truly enhance the future of our fisheries

I can't wait to participate in any and all fishing trips.

Awesome trip

I will second the wiped out thing. I am beat today.

For those who organized that trip, thank you very very much. It was great to fish along side people who get it, especially fishcounterbob and his buddies!

The capt. and mates of the AC were awesome. The capt. worked his ass off all day to put us on fish. If the bite was slow for 10 minutes it was "Ya, reel em up!".....after the short move to the next spot everyone ran to the rail and had their jigs ready to drop the second you heard "Ya, drop your lines!"....cause everyone knew that we were over a nice mess of fish. It became a race to get the jigs to the bottom. I wish I would of had a heavier jig to get down there faster. Not being an avid cod fisherman, I was able to learn a lot of great info yesterday just by watching the people on board.

Ended the day with about 20 fish total, 8 that were of keeper size. I used a 16oz. viking jig with a white cod fly and glo-daddy squid above it all day. 85% of my fish were caught on the teaser.

Thanks again to those who organized this trip. It was so nice to be back out on the water again. When are we goin again??

Terry and Henry along with Captain Jim worked their asses off and my hat is off to the entire crew of Walshes and the NBS crew that put this together. Thanks for the great day everyone and it was a pleasure fishing with the entire NBS gang that was aboard.
