Well, I just finished cleaning up my 18 fillets. Was happy to see the worm volume rather low, but cleaned all them out too. Vacuum packed and in the freezer, with a few out for tonight's Baked Cod with Crab Stuffing dinner.

Yesterday was a great time, and the whole crew of fishermen was excellent. Great guys, lots of fun, and best of all, fishing. The AC crew (Captain Walsh, Henry, and Terry) did a great job, and worked their butts off all day. Many thanks to them for making the trip even more enjoyable.

As for the tips to the crew, they are welcome and deserved it !!

I can't even count how many shorts I caught, and I know I threw back many fish in the 22-24" range. They just look too small. LOL.

We'll get out there again as a crew, and catch'em up.

I completely forgot to thank the generous folks who donated prizes for the trips, so THANK YOU to:
  • Captain Dave Waldrip (2 spots on a shared Tuna charter aboard Relentless)
  • Captain Dom Petrarca (1 spot on a shared any species charter, with Coastal Charters)
  • Route 10 Tire (2 $110 cash prizes, paid out for 1st Wolffish, and 3rd prize overall)
  • Reel Crazy Sportfishing for the custom plug

It was great to have such a great group of prizes for the NBS Members on board!!

Oh yeah, those aluminum benches are murder on your back when you simply pass out from exhaustion. Ws I snoring? LOL

Congratulations to everyone

Well .... as you can imagine Anthony and I are very disappointed that we missed an opportunity to get together with all of our great friends here at NBS. The fishing part really came second on this trip because we aren't huge cod fans. It would have been great to meet most of you and m hats off to everyone involved looked like a great time plus we need some time on the water

Fortunately for us the day ended great as well. After a long drive north of Albany NY from NJ, Anthony after only 8 weeks of wrestling was in a national qualifier and won all 3 of his matches and took home first place in the 112# class. He is now in the national tournament of champions, one of the biggest events nation-wide for a youth wrestler

Congrats on a great trip, especially Chuck, and the Ckonkol crew (man you guys are fishy) and a special shout out to Dom, Brad and Jim. We sould do this more often

I'll check Pat. I was somewhat in a haze yesterday, between the trip and some other stuff I had going on at home. We'll get it figured out.

...and congrats Anthony. Quite impressive!!
