| CT River 5-9 Hit the CT River on my buddy's tin can last night to try for Stripers. We made a few drifts without any success tossing sluggos and some crank baits. We decided to change tactics and I switched over to a Storm Shad and worked it on the bottom. Second cast a hookup. Nice schoolie about 24 inches. We continued our drifts till dark and headed in. Final tally was 4 schoolies and one keeper. The keeper was a nice fat fish about 32 inches. All fish released to grow to a 50 pounders. All in all a nice evening on the River.. The water temp was 57 degrees where we were fishing. On a side note we didn't see any alewives or herring. In years past the area we fished last night would be loaded with them.

| Thanks for the report. I think everything is running a couple weeks behind this spring(bait etc).
