Ice, what Ice? Nockamixon, PA

Superbowl Sunday - air temps in the teens, so what better time to get out for a little fishing. We initially were going to try our hand at actual ice fishing, but of course no one had proper equipment. We stopped by the target lake and then chickened out because there was already a crowd.

Ethan did venture out on the ice but was confused by the hard water:

We changed tactics and ventured to the outlet spill way for Lake Nockamixon (Bucks Co., PA). After a climb down an icy hill and past a wall of ice, we made it to the spillway falls.

We were swimming minnows around the falls in hopes of a Walleye or Muskie when I noticed a carp swimming right in the shallows. I reached out and caught it "bear style" took a pic and released it with a warning to stay out of the shallows.

I'm Glad I dont live in upstate New York,Those poor bastids got 100 inches of snow this past week.With another 2 feet coming by monday

On LI we got nothing but a dusting. I expect no snow for us this year, since I bought a new snowblower last season.
