| Lake Ontario, Wilson NY I fished the LOC salmon derby on Lake Ontario out of Wilson NY from Saturday May 3 through Friday May 9. The fishing overall was slow but we managed to get a few salmon around 10 - 16 pounds each day. On average we washed lures (trolling) from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. each day. There was alot of bait around and the water surface temperatures were still cold approx. 44F - 48F. Going forward the next few weeks should be great in that area. We did manage to get a nice 21 pound salmon on the leader board on Wednesday. I will try to post a few pictures later this week. |
